Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has said that his side only have themselves to blame for their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.
The Red Devils conceded all three goals in the space of six second-half minutes at White Hart Lane to remain four points adrift of local rivals Manchester City in the race for the final Champions League spot.
Schneiderlin believes that the scoreline was harsh on his side, but admitted that they did not react well enough to going behind.
"After the first goal we lost a bit of shape, maybe it was a mental thing," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"In the first half we had possession and caused a few problems but after the goal it happened so quickly, three goals so quick cannot happen. Everyone has their head down like you can imagine.
"No-one would have thought that after 60 minutes it would have been 3-0. But fair play to them they got us when we were a bit down. Like I say it is us to blame."
United now turn their attentions to an FA Cup quarter-final replay with West Ham United on Wednesday.
