Manchester United players have reportedly asked club legend Paul Scholes to come out of retirement.
The 37-year-old has spent this season coaching the United youth team and reserves after retiring at the end of last year. However, after a string of recent injuries in midfield, the club's players have been pressing the former England international to return, according to The Sun.
While Sir Alex Ferguson attempted to talk Scholes into one more season following the club's Champions League final defeat to Barcelona, he is not believed to have made an official approach since.
