Sky selects David Moyes's league debut as Man Utd manager for broadcast on the opening weekend of the new season.

David Moyes's league debut as Manchester United manager has been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports on the opening weekend of the new campaign.

The champions' trip to Swansea will air live on the first day of the new season - Saturday, August 17 - and be moved to the later kickoff time of 5.30pm.

The game is one of 55 fixtures selected for broadcast by Sky and new service BT Sport in the first three months of the season.

Under a new TV rights deal coming into play this season, Sky will share the TV rights to the Premier League with BT Sport. Sky will show 116 live games per season - predominantly on Saturday evenings, Sundays and Monday nights - while BT has the rights to 38 games per season. BT's share of games, which will normally be the early kickoff on Saturdays, include 18 'first picks' from the fixtures.

BT has chosen Liverpool's home clash with Stoke to be the first game of the new season, with a kickoff at 12.45pm on August 17.

Sky will go on to show Jose Mourinho's league return as Chelsea boss on Sunday, August 18, then Manuel Pellegrini's Man City debut on Monday night.

The highly-anticipated clash between United and Chelsea in week two of the season has been shifted to Monday, August 26, while the following weekend, United's trip to Anfield will be the early kickoff on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Sky will broadcast the first Welsh derby in the Premier League as the Swans visit Cardiff on November 3, as well as the first Manchester derby on September 22, while BT will air the first Merseyside derby of the season on November 23.
