Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that Bruno Fernandes will make his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening.
After prolonged negotiations, United announced on Wednesday that they had agreed a deal for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder, who is due to undergo a medical on Thursday.
Providing that all goes to plan, Solskjaer has acknowledged that the Portugal international could be thrown straight into the starting lineup for the important Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer is quoted by the Evening Standard as saying: "Let's get the contract signed and medical done, but the boy is fit and ready to play, I would presume. Let's see if we get it done tomorrow."
Fernandes has continued to represent Sporting throughout January, last featuring for the club on Monday night.
