Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that his side are about to enter "a big week", as they prepare for their 2021-22 Premier League opener against Leeds United.
The Red Devils rounded off their preparations for the new season with a 4-0 victory over Everton, with Mason Greenwood, Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot on the scoresheet.
The 20-time English champions will now switch their attention to their clash with Leeds, and Solskjaer has admitted that it is vital his team make a strong start to the campaign.
"It's a big week. It has to be some work specific to Leeds, but we need some more fitness. These first three games, before the international break, is still like part of pre-season but we need to get some more points than last season," Solskjaer told MUTV.
Man United, who finished second behind Manchester City in last season's Premier League table, have beaten Derby and Everton, drawn with Brentford, and lost to Queens Park Rangers in their four friendlies this summer.
As well as Leeds, the Red Devils will take on Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers in August before opening September with a home hame against Newcastle United. body check tags ::
