Luis Suarez has revealed that he wants to sign a new deal with Liverpool amid speculation regarding his future.
The Uruguayan has been linked with a move away from England following his ban for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
Suarez served an eight-match suspension for his part in the saga, but wants to put that behind him and extend his stay at Anfield.
"I would like to stay. Despite everything that happened, I'm happy here, on and off the pitch and at the club they're happy with me and want me to stay," Suarez told Uruguayan newspaper El Pais.
"I have a contract until 2016 and they already want to renew it for me. The coach still believes in me and that's very important, especially after having been out for eight matches."
Suarez scored for Liverpool in their 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Stoke City this afternoon.
