Carlos Tevez scored one and made another as Manchester City's reserves thrashed Morecambe 6-1 this evening.
The Argentine's performances has fuelled rumours that he could start in Saturday's home clash with Sunderland.
Tevez has featured as a substitute in City's last two Premier League encounters following a six-month exile. The striker has now scored twice for the reserves since his return.
Owen Hargreaves also started against Morecambe. Spanish youngster Joan Angel Roman helped himself to a hat-trick during the rout.
City start Saturday's game three points behind league leaders Manchester United with eight games remaining.
