Roma sporting director Monchi has reportedly emerged as a potential target for both Manchester United and Barcelona.
Monchi penned a four-year contract at the Stadio Olimpico last year, but the Spaniard has allegedly come under pressure at the Italian giants.
Alisson Becker, Kevin Strootman and Radja Nainggolan were all sold as Roma made a profit during the summer transfer window, but the club have only recorded four points from their opening three matches in Serie A.
That has seemingly led to the 49-year-old's position coming under threat, and Gazzetta dello Sport reports that both United and Barcelona are monitoring the situation.
United are said to be considering appointing a sporting director after a disappointing few months in the transfer market, while Barca are allegedly contemplating giving Monchi the chance to return to his homeland.
