Manchester United are reportedly considering offering Paul Pogba to Real Madrid as a makeweight in a deal that will bring Gareth Bale to Old Trafford.
The Wales international has often been used as a back-up player in Los Blancos' biggest matches this term, leading to speculation about his long-term future.
United are said to be long-term admirers of Bale and, according to Don Balon, are preparing to offer Pogba in exchange for his signature this summer.
Real, however, are allegedly more interested in using Bale as a makeweight in a bid for Liverpool's free-scoring striker Mohamed Salah.
Rumours of a rift between Bale and manager Zinedine Zidane intensified last week when he was hauled off during Real's 3-1 defeat to Juventus in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
