Donny van de Beek and Antony were both involved in a 3-0 win for Manchester United against League One outfit Barnsley at the Carrington training complex on Tuesday.
The Red Devils have a number of individuals currently away on international duty, but there are also several first-team players who have not been selected by their countries for one reason or another.
Man United invited Barnsley to Carrington for a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday, and Van de Beek and Antony were among the Red Devils players on display, with the former allegedly on the scoresheet.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Kobbie Mainoo had been expected to feature earlier this week, but the teenager's return to action was delayed.
Mainoo has been out since suffering an ankle injury against Real Madrid in pre-season, but the midfielder has recently been back in first-team training, as he nears a return for Erik ten Hag's side.
Van de Beek's future was the subject of much speculation during the summer transfer window, with the Netherlands international not in the plans of head coach Ten Hag.
The 26-year-old has only played twice this season, featuring off the bench against Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup and Premier League respectively towards the end of last month.
Van de Beek continued to be linked with an exit past the September transfer deadline, with teams from Saudi Arabia and Turkey believed to have shown an interest.
However, the midfielder, who is not in Man United's Champions League squad, stayed at Old Trafford, and he will be available until at least January, when an exit is thought to be on the cards.
Antony, meanwhile, recently returned to the club following a period of absence to deal with a personal issue.
The 23-year-old has been accused of assaulting his former partner, with police in both Brazil and England currently conducting investigations into the alleged incidents.
Antony made his return off the bench against Galatasaray in the Champions League on October 3 before also featuring as a substitute against Brentford last weekend.
The Brazil international could potentially now be in line for a start when Man United resume their Premier League campaign against Sheffield United next weekend.
Jadon Sancho, though, is still training away from the first team, with the Englishman's situation remaining unchanged, as he continues to refuse to apologise to Ten Hag for his social media post in the aftermath of the Arsenal match at the start of September. body check tags ::
