Donny van de Beek has been named in Manchester United's 25-man Premier League squad for the 2023-24 campaign despite the speculation surrounding his future.

The Netherlands international continues to be linked with departure, with teams from Qatar and Turkey thought to be considering moves before their transfer windows close.

Van de Beek has been left out of Man United's Champions League squad, and it had been suggested that he would also be absent from the team's Premier League selection.

However, the Dutchman has been included, hinting that he is unlikely to leave until at least January, when European clubs could again be in the mix for his signature.

Jadon Sancho is also named, with the Englishman removing the much-discussed social media post from his 'X' profile on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old's future at Old Trafford remains unclear following his public criticism of head coach Erik ten Hag, but the fact that he has now unpinned and removed his statement following the recent clash with Arsenal suggests that his relationship with his manager could be rebuilt.

The list consists of players over the age of 21, with individuals younger than that not needing to be included, so Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Kobbie Mainoo are not on the list.

Hannibal Mejbri, who was strongly linked with a loan move over the summer, is another player not on the list but can still feature for the first team.

Six of the club's seven summer signings are named, with two new goalkeepers in the squad in the shape of Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.

Jonny Evans and Sergio Reguilon were signed on deadline day to bolster the defence, while Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat are included in the midfield list.

Man United will be bidding to bounce back from their loss at Arsenal when they resume their Premier League campaign at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
