Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has defended Marouane Fellaini amid accusations that the Belgian spat at Sergio Aguero in Sunday's Manchester derby.
Footage has emerged on social media of the Red Devils midfielder appearing to spit in the general direction of the Manchester City striker at the Etihad Stadium.
Van Gaal is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I have heard that there is a question on social media. When you shout, sometimes a little bit of saliva is with it. I don't think he is a spitting figure."
