Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has warned Adnan Januzaj that scoring goals is not enough to keep his place despite his winner in tonight's 1-0 victory at Aston Villa.
The Belgian, 20, struck the only goal of the game on 29 minutes at Villa Park as the Red Devils extended their 100% in the Premier League after two matches.
Januzaj was a surprise inclusion as Van Gaal omitted Ashley Young from his first XI, but the Dutchman says that his all-round performance could have been stronger.
"He scored a wonderful goal, but all the other aspects of football you have to show," he told Sky Sports News.
"I'm pleased because with this goal we have won, but there is more than scoring a goal. There were a lot of unnecessary ball losses [from Januzaj]."
Van Gaal's men sit top of the Premier League table, having also played one more game than 18 other sides.
