Louis van Gaal has admitted that he is "very pleased" with Anthony Martial following his transfer deadline-day move to Manchester United.
The striker has scored four goals in seven appearances since joining the Premier League side at the start of September, resulting in him being named the league's Player of the Month.
Ahead of this weekend's match against Everton, the manager told reporters: "I'm very pleased he's started so well. It's also good because most of the fans didn't know him, now they know him and also a little bit about his qualities and talent.
"Still, we have to be patient with him. He is still 19 years old and he cannot do that every match. That is also a characteristic of a young player."
Martial scored 10 goals in 44 appearances for AS Monaco last season.
