Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly yet to decide on whether to keep Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville as part of his backroom team next season.
The trio assisted interim manager Ryan Giggs for the final four games of the previous campaign after David Moyes was sacked in April.
Neville was already part of the coaching setup under Moyes at Old Trafford, while Butt was one of the academy staff members, but Scholes was brought into the fold following Giggs's promotion to temporary manager.
According to the Irish Times, Van Gaal is unsure on whether to keep the trio as part of the coaching team, but is expected to make a decision after guiding the Netherlands in their World Cup campaign in Brazil.
Van Gaal has appointed Giggs as his number two, while Frans Hoek has been brought in to replace goalkeeping coach Chris Woods.
