Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has no doubts that his injury nightmare is behind him and believes that he was "unlucky" with his record.
Up until the last two years, the Dutchman's career has been plagued by injuries with the 29-year-old spending a significant amount of time in the treatment room.
However, Van Persie has not endured a major spell out of action since 2010, and believes that regular game time has made him more consistent.
"If you go back to my injuries, people just look at stats and for a couple of years those stats weren't great," said Van Persie.
"But most of those injuries were impact injuries, they can happen. It was mostly unlucky.
"I don't think it was me to blame, or the club medical staff to blame. I was just unlucky."
Van Persie scored in United's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, which was the forward's 71st consecutive game in the Premier League.
