Robin van Persie has admitted that he has found the start to the 2014-15 Premier League season "tough" at Manchester United.
The Red Devils won just three of their first 10 league matches under Louis van Gaal, but can make it six wins in a row when they face old rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
The Dutch international told Sky Sports News: "It's tough. You are trying absolutely everything, but it's not coming off. You don't have that kind of luck you normally have. It was a tough start for me and the team.
"I've played five tournaments now, three European Championships and two World Cups, and based on those tournaments and the period after, it's always been difficult to get straight back into the flow and into form."
Van Persie scored twice during United's 2-1 win over Southampton earlier this week.
