Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic will reportedly begin rehabilitation this week as he steps up his recovery from an injured knee.
Vidic underwent surgery on the problem in September and is expected to miss at least two months for United, ruling him out for the rest of 2012.
The Serbian international missed much of last season with knee trouble but is fit enough to begin gym work to improve the problem, according to The Sun.
Sir Alex Ferguson has endured a torrid time so far this season in terms of defensive injuries, losing Chris Smalling and Phil Jones to long-term problems.
United have managed to enjoy a strong start to the season despite injury setbacks, sitting in second place in the Premier League table after eight matches.
