Inter Milan defender Nemanja Vidic believes that his former Manchester United teammates appeared to be enjoying their football during the International Champions Cup fixture between the two teams on Tuesday evening.
Vidic eventually found himself on the losing side after United prevailed in a penalty shootout, and the Serbian international, who left Old Trafford in the summer after eight-and-a-half years in England, admitted that it felt "strange" to face the Premier League outfit.
The 32-year-old told Sky Sports News: "It was strange. I've faced Mata and Rooney many times in training but it's different when you play them in a football match.
"In another way, I'm glad that I saw them. They are all happy, which I'm glad to see. They look like they are enjoying their football."
Vidic made 300 appearances during his time in the North-West.
