Danny Welbeck has backed his Manchester United teammate Tom Cleverley to become a world-class player.
Striker Welbeck is currently with the England squad preparing for Saturday's friendly against Spain. However, midfielder Cleverley is sidelined with an ankle injury.
Despite the setback, Welbeck believes that his colleague can be one of the best in the world.
"I think he can become a world-class player," the 20-year-old told United Review.
"Football is such a simple game, it's how hard you make it for yourself. Tom keeps it so simple and it is hard to do that when you're in centre-midfield, but Tom does that.
"He's just going to carry on improving. You can see that every single day in training. He's a really good player."
England face Spain at Wembley on Saturday before they take on Sweden three days later.
