Ashley Young has admitted that Manchester United are eager to bounce back after a "disappointing" campaign last time around.
The 29-year-old winger, who was frozen out for large spells under David Moyes last season, scored twice late on in the Red Devils' 7-0 victory against LA Galaxy earlier today.
"Last season was disappointing and we felt that as players," Young told club TV station MUTV following the friendly in Pasadena. "We were keen to get up and running in the first pre-season game to be ready for the first home game of the season."
United continue their pre-season tour of the United States with a meeting against Champions League winners Real Madrid next week.
