Just one team from the top seven after gameweek 14 managed to win in gameweek 15 as the most open Premier League season continued to provide twists and turns galore.
Leaders Liverpool dropped points at home for only the second time since January 2019 when they were held by struggling West Bromwich Albion, while Leicester City and Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium.
Chelsea slumped to defeat at out-of-form Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur drew with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton could not find a way past Fulham in their stalemate.
Everton were able take advantage of those around them dropping points as their victory over rock-bottom Sheffield United lifted them up to second place, three points behind their Merseyside neighbours.
There were also wins for Manchester City, Leeds United and Aston Villa, while West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion played out a draw.
Here, Sports Mole selects its Premier League team of the week for gameweek 15.
There were a few goalkeeping performances worthy of note this weekend, with Emiliano Martinez making six saves en route to another clean sheet for Villa and Sam Johnstone pulling off a world-class late stop to earn a point for West Brom at Anfield.
However, the gloves this week go to Illan Meslier, who was perhaps fortunate to get away with a challenge on Ben Mee which was instead given as a foul on him - disallowing the follow-up goal in the process - but who also made six saves and came off his line to great effect as Leeds held on in the second half against Burnley.
Kyle Walker-Peters also helped his side to a clean sheet with 11 tackles as Southampton drew at Fulham, while Romain Saiss produced a fine glancing header late on to earn Wolves a point at home to Tottenham in the final match of the gameweek.
That was enough to keep Joel Matip and Leeds' makeshift centre-back Kalvin Phillips out of the side at the heart of the defence, while Kieran Tierney and Joao Cancelo also deserve honourable mentions.
Aston Villa are the only team to provide more than one player in this XI, and the first two of their five selections come in defence. Kortney Hause scored his side's second goal in their win over Crystal Palace, while Matt Targett was also heavily involved down the left flank during a superb all-around display from Dean Smith's side.
In midfield, Tomas Soucek earned his place with his late equaliser in the draw against Brighton, and he sits alongside Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who made 10 tackles, won five aerial duels and embarked on six dribbles during an all-action display in the middle of the park for Fulham.
Tanguy Ndombele also deserves a mention, but in the forward areas it is Villa who dominate with three of the front four.
In truth, each of them may feel that they warranted an even better return than they managed, with Jack Grealish somehow failing to register an assist despite laying on a host of chances for teammates in another eye-catching display.
Another thing eye-catching about that 3-0 Villa win was Anwar El Ghazi's goal to cap off the scoring - a goal which Ollie Watkins set up for his third assist of the game.
Watkins may still be scratching his head as to how he did not get his own name on the scoresheet, though, hitting the woodwork twice and missing a couple of other presentable chances in an impressive - if slightly wasteful - display.
The only non-Villa player in the front four is team of the week regular Bruno Fernandes, who once again helped himself to a goal and an assist in the draw against Leicester, meaning that he has now had a direct hand in more than half of Man United's Premier League goals since his debut.
Bertrand Traore, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling all deserve honourable mentions too.
