With two games played, just four Premier League teams now hold a 100% winning record.

Perhaps it is little surprise that Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are among that quartet of clubs, but there will not have been many people that would have expected Swansea City to win both of their opening matches.

The Swans defeated Burnley 1-0 on Saturday, while the pick of the weekend's games - Man City vs. Liverpool - ended in a 3-1 victory for the champions.

Elsewhere, Manchester United's wait for a first win continues following their 1-1 draw with Sunderland, while Arsenal battled back at Goodison Park against Everton to claim a 2-2 draw.

There was also an impressive triumph for West Ham United at London rivals Crystal Palace, with the Hammers coming out on top 3-1 at Selhurst Park.

Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)
The young Belgian continues to prove his manager Jose Mourinho, who dropped Petr Cech in favour of Courtois, right. With the score against Leicester 0-0, he made two impressive saves to deny David Nugent.

Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur)
Under pressure for his place following the arrival of Ben Davies, Rose responded positively against QPR. As well as carrying out his defensive duties, the left-back also set up Emmanuel Adebayor for his goal.
Phil Jones (Manchester United)
The Man United defence, with some justification, has been heavily criticised this season, but Jones produced a steady performance at Sunderland. With two teenagers either side of him, the centre-back led by example.
Vincent Kompany (Manchester City)
Liverpool had plenty of possession at the Etihad Stadium, but their route to goal was often blocked by City skipper Kompany, who made numerous challenges and clearances.
Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea)
There were times against Leicester that right-back Ivanovic was Chelsea's best attacker against Leicester. It was the Serbian that assisted Diego Costa for the game's opening goal.

Erik Lamela (Tottenham Hotspur)
The £30m signing looked like an expensive flop last season, but he has hit the ground running this term. The Argentine rounded off a confident showing against QPR with two assists.
Lee Cattermole (Sunderland)
He may not be the most naturally gifted footballer to have ever appeared in the Premier League, but Cattermole's battling qualities are there for all to see. Against Man United, the 26-year-old ran proceedings from midfield.
Cheikhou Kouyate (West Ham United)
The Senegal international has impressed in his two outings for West Ham so far. At Selhurst Park, he made numerous important challenges and also set up Stewart Downing's goal.
Nacer Chadli (Tottenham Hotspur)
Like Lamela, Chadli struggled to adapt to the Premier League last season and his presence in the starting lineup against the R's was actually a bit of a surprise, yet he responded by scoring two goals.

Mauro Zarate (West Ham United)
Sam Allardyce has promised excitement this season and Zarate looks like he's going to provide it. The Argentine opened the scoring with a great volley and was lively throughout away at Palace.
Stevan Jovetic (Manchester City)
Injuries sidelined Jovetic for most of last season, but now fully fit, the City striker is showing his quality. He scored the first two goals against Liverpool, sending the champions on the path to all three points.

Numpty of the week

Alberto Moreno: It may seem harsh to hand this award to a young Premier League debutant, but the new Liverpool defender's error handed Man City the lead after a tight opening 40 minutes at the Etihad Stadium. Rather than clear a loose ball inside the area, Moreno hesitated, allowing Jovetic to pounce and then power in the game's opening goal. The visitors never truly recovered from that point.

Goal of the week:

Nacer Chadli (Tottenham Hotspur) vs. Queens Park Rangers: The Belgium international scored twice at White Hart Lane, but it was his second that really captured the imagination. While the likes of Downing and Zarate scored fine individual goals for West Ham, you're unlikely to see a better team goal all season than the one that Chadli scored. After 47 passes, Lamela crossed for the winger, who planted a smart header beyond the reach of a helpless Rob Green.
