Manchester United twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw against West Bromwich Albion in a thrilling Premier League encounter at The Hawthorns this evening.
The hosts started the game brightly and took the lead in the eighth minute when Stephane Sessegnon was picked out by Andre Wisdom on the edge of the box, before firing a strike into the top corner.
United looked for a quick response and Robin van Persie came close when he latched on to Angel di Maria's pass, but could not get enough power on his low shot to beat Boaz Myhill.
Di Maria was next to threaten when the home defence failed to deal with a long ball, allowing him to get a shot away that was held by the keeper.
On the half-hour mark the Argentine tried his luck again, but his swerving effort from the edge of the box was parried by Myhill.
United went into the break trailing, but they drew level three minutes after half time when substitute Marouane Fellaini collected Di Maria's pass on the edge of the box, before shifting the ball onto his right foot and driving a strike into the roof of the net.
The visitors began to take control of the match, but in the 66th minute West Brom restored their lead as Saido Berahino was played through on goal by Chris Brunt and kept his composure to slot an effort into the corner past David de Gea.
Van Persie was then inches away from drawing his side level minutes later, but his powerful drive from the edge of the box came crashing back off the post.
With three minutes left to play United equalised for the second time as Daley Blind latched on to a loose ball just outside the box, before guiding a low strike into the bottom corner that secured his side a share of the spoils.
