Manchester United have reportedly approached Mauricio Pochettino over potentially replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the Old Trafford dugout.
Pochettino's former side Tottenham Hotspur ran riot against Solskjaer's men in Sunday's Premier League match, eventually trouncing the Red Devils 6-1 on their own turf.
United have also tasted defeat at home to Crystal Palace in the opening weeks of the new Premier League campaign, and according to the Daily Star, Ed Woodward is making plans for life without Solskjaer.
The report suggests that United will give Solskjaer the opportunity to turn results around after the international break, but the Red Devils have touched base with Pochettino, who is yet to enter another stint in management since being relieved of his duties by Spurs last November.
United completed a number of deals on transfer deadline day with the signings of Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles, while Atalanta startlet Amad Traore has agreed a future transfer to the red side of Manchester.
