Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up next season if they sign Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham.

Manchester United have been tipped to press ahead with a trio of big-money signings this summer, despite the uncertainty surrounding the transfer market.

Teams around the globe are expected to feel the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, meaning less money is likely to be spent on luxury new recruits.

However, United remain one of the biggest institutes in the world - not just in football - and apparently believe that each of their three main targets are still very much attainable.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the trio of players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to bring in are Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham.

With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at how the Red Devils could line up next season if they land each of their targets.

Solskjaer has mainly deployed a 4-3-3 system this season with a couple of holding midfielders, with Fred, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic all being used.

Fred has enjoyed a far more impressive second campaign than first, while McTominay has continued to improve and Matic has also played an important role.

Bellingham, the least known of United's three primary targets, will therefore have his work cut out to win a spot in the starting lineup should he arrive.

Given that the Red Devils are expected to pay in the region of £30m for the Birmingham City midfielder's signature, however, Solskjaer will try his best to integrate him into the side.

Bellingham operates best as a left-sided central midfielder, and his arrival would allow Solskjaer to change things up slightly, especially if Pogba is granted his move away.

There are no recent examples of title-winning sides using two holding midfielders, so Bruno Fernandes - a huge hit since his January arrival - can complement Bellingham's skillset.

The front three will have a new look to it should Borussia Dortmund star Sancho and Aston Villa's Grealish arrive, meanwhile, with both surely being viewed as first-team regulars.

That could spell bad news for one of Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial, with one of them having to make way if this system is going to work.

While Rashford's best displays have come from a wide starting position, he has the ability to interchange with Sancho and Grealish - plus the roaming Fernandes - so we have selected him over Martial.

What this will give Solskjaer more than anything, though, is the ability to change his team around regularly as United aim to reclaim their status as footballing heavyweights.
