Welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of summer 2024 transfer deadline day!
Stick with us to follow every twist, turn, done deal and rumour throughout England and Europe as clubs race to get their final pieces of business done before the window slams shut.
The deadline for English deals to go through is 11pm tonight, and some major moves are still expected to take place before that with plenty of big clubs seeking reinforcements or looking to offload players, and many big names expected to be part of that.
The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium since the January transfer window opened, with reports in his native Egypt claiming last weekend that the Citizens were set to sign him for around £50m.
Those rumours have since been denied by multiple European outlets and journalists, although it is now understood that Pep Guardiola's side have held preliminary talks with Marmoush's representatives.
Man United attacker 'offered surprise escape route' after 'rigorous' search
Out-of-favour Manchester United winger Antony has apparently been offered a shock escape route from Old Trafford by Greek giants Olympiacos.
The 24-year-old has been a huge disappointment since his £85m switch from Ajax in the summer of 2022 and has featured just 12 times for the Red Devils this season, scoring one goal in the 7-0 EFL Cup thrashing of Barnsley in September.
Antony has not even started a single Premier League game this season, only totalling 84 minutes from six appearances off the bench, and he was an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool at the weekend.
Man United still have the Brazilian attacker under contract until the summer of 2027, but the Red Devils are expected to cut their losses at the earliest opportunity given that he has shown no signs of reviving his career under Ruben Amorim.
There appears to have been little movement since then, but at the same time, there have been no concrete transfer offers for Salah, who is still thought to be the dream target for the Saudi Pro League.
Help for Haaland: Man City open 'preliminary talks' for 18-goal striker
Manchester City have reportedly held preliminary talks over the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush but will face two stumbling blocks in their pursuit of the Egypt international.
The Citizens did not directly replace Atletico Madrid-bound Julian Alvarez over the summer, meaning that Erling Haaland has been forced to shoulder the centre-forward burden by himself in 2024-25.
The Norway international has struggled to produce his best form with no backup option to take the weight off his shoulders, and he currently sits two strikes behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League's Golden Boot.
However, Haaland has still never gone three games without scoring a Premier League goal and boasts three efforts from his last two games, netting once against Leicester City before bagging a brace in the 4-1 thrashing of West Ham United at the weekend.
