Edinson Cavani will not be heading to Old Trafford this summer, his agent has declared.
Reports had suggested that Manchester United were considering making a £30m bid for the Uruguay international, who has also received interest from clubs including Real Madrid and Juventus.
“This is the time of year when it is normal to hear talk of transfers to big clubs for astronomical fees,” Claudio Anellucci told Italy’s Radio Sportiva.
“The majority of the time there is nothing to them, as is the case with regards to a possible move to Manchester United for Edinson.”
The 24-year-old, who scored 26 goals last Serie A season, penned a five-year deal with the Naples club in May.
