Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly come to an agreement with Manchester United over a new contract, with the deal worth £30,000 a week plus performance-related bonuses.

There has recently been speculation surrounding the 18-year-old's future, with Real Madrid and Juventus said to be monitoring him.

Garnacho still has 18 months left to run on his contract at Old Trafford, with the option of an additional year, but Man United have been in talks with the Argentina Under-20s international over a fresh deal.

There were claims that the teenager had turned down an offer of £20,000 a week from the Red Devils.

However, according to Football Transfers, the two parties have now come to an agreement over a deal which will see the forward earn £30,000 a week.

The report claims that Garnacho will be able to increase that weekly wage with various performance-related targets, likely to be appearances and goals.

The attacker's priority has allegedly always been to remain with the 20-time English champions despite being aware of the growing interest in his services.

Garnacho has been a regular for Erik ten Hag's side during the 2022-23 campaign, making 16 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice and providing five assists in the process.

The youngster netted his first senior goal against Real Sociedad in the Europa League at the start of November before hitting the winner against Fulham in the Premier League just before the break for the World Cup.

Garnacho was involved off the bench against Crystal Palace in the league on Wednesday, meanwhile, as Ten Hag's side conceded a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.

"Yeah, he's [improving] a lot," Ten Hag said on Tuesday when asked about the attacker. "He has skill and I don't see that many players, even in the Premier League, who have that skill, like he beats players one-on-one.

"But he learned in the last months how to play in the team and how to live and do the right things in the week, and how to have the right attitude on the training ground.

"You can see how he is acting as a team player," explained the manager. "But his individual skills can make the difference. Also, for him, it's to keep going in the process, it's not done as there is a lot to come and a lot more room for improvement for him, but he can help contribute on the highest level.

"I'm really happy. It is a bonus for us, as a club, that you bring in young players who come into the squad and even come into the team. I think also it is a part of our project that has to contribute to our success."

Garnacho started his youth career at Getafe before moving to Atletico Madrid, spending five years with the capital outfit ahead of a switch to Man United in 2020. body check tags ::
