West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has said that he is unsure as to whether Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher wants to join the club.

Speculation has been growing regarding a proposed move for the Scottish international, but the Hammers' coach has said that he doesn't know if the industrious ball-winner will end up at Upton Park this month.

"I don't know whether he will come to be honest. It's in Darren's hands," said Allardyce, according to Sky Sports News.

"I haven't spoken to him. I've spoken to his agent."

West Ham are not the only club thought to be interested in Fletcher, with teams in Spain also keeping tabs on the midfielder.
