Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has reportedly snubbed interest from Liverpool, with the Moroccan determined to secure a move to Manchester United during this summer's transfer window.
Amrabat's future has been the subject of much speculation over the last six months, with his performances for Morocco at the 2022 World Cup leading to a host of attention.
Barcelona are believed to have attempted to sign him on loan in January, but he finished the 2022-23 campaign at Fiorentina, making 49 appearances in all competitions, helping them to reach the final of both the Europa Conference League and Coppa Italia.
The 26-year-old is widely expected to be on the move this summer, with his current deal due to expire next June.
Fiorentina are said to want €30m (£25.9m) including bonuses for the midfielder, with Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla recently claiming that Man United have taken 'important steps' in their pursuit of him.
Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in Amrabat, as the Reds look to make a couple more midfield signings before the end of the transfer window.
Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are both expected to leave Anfield in the near future, while Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have already departed.
Southampton's Romeo Lavia is being heavily linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp's side, but Amrabat is also thought to be admired by leading figures at the club.
According to Corriere della Sera, the midfielder is aware of the interest from Liverpool but has made it clear that he does not want to move to the club this summer.
The report claims that Amrabat has already agreed to join Man United, although a move to Old Trafford is not believed to be imminent.
The Red Devils are currently working on a deal for Atalanta BC's Rasmus Hojlund, who is the club's leading attacking target during this summer's transfer window.
There will also allegedly have to be departures before Man United can confirm a deal for Amrabat, with Fred and Scott McTominay both being linked with moves away from the club.
Donny van de Beek is also widely expected to depart during the current window, with the 20-time English champions looking to raise funds to reinvest in the squad.
Mason Mount and Andre Onana have been the club's two signings thus far this summer, and the latter is expected to make his debut during Wednesday's pre-season contest with Real Madrid. body check tags ::
