Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling.
The 30-year-old was allowed to leave Old Trafford last summer to join Italian giants Roma on loan.
The Englishman has been in impressive form for the Serie A outfit this term, contributing two goals in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Roma continue to be linked with a permanent move for the former non-league defender, but according to Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal have already put an offer on the table.
The fact that Smalling still has more than two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford has allegedly led to United placing a £25m valuation on the centre-back.
The former Fulham youngster has made 323 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, winning two Premier League titles in the process, both under Sir Alex Ferguson.
