Arsenal will begin the bidding for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha with a £40m offer, according to a report.
The Gunners are one of a number of clubs believed to be in the running to sign the Ivory Coast international, along with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Zaha has targeted a move away from Selhurst Park to play European football, but Palace are said to be reluctant to sell for anything less than £80m.
The Sun claims that Arsenal are only willing to pay half that figure, though, and the Eagles are expected to swiftly reject the offer.
However, it is also suggested that Unai Emery's side could potentially offer Callum Chambers, Carl Jenkinson or Reiss Nelson in part-exchange for any deal involving Zaha.
