Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly contemplating an approach for Hammarby winger Bazoumana Toure.

Sitting well adrift of leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table, it is plausible that the North London duo could enter the market during the January transfer window.

Goals have not necessarily been a problem for either side, particularly Spurs who possess the best attacking record in the division after their 4-0 demolition of Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Nevertheless, at a time when the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations remain an issue for every club, identifying a prospect or bargain for future years is a popular route being taken.

According to Sky Sport Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenburg, who was commenting on X, a youngster plying his trade in Sweden has emerged on their radar.

Toure attracting increasing amount of admirers

Earlier this year, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers were each credited with an interest in Toure after his early performances for Hammarby.

Since linking up with the Swedish outfit in March, Toure has contributed nine goals and four assists from 23 appearances in the Allsvenskan.

Still just the age of 18, Toure has established himself as one of the top prospects in Scandinavia at a time when Hammarby finished second in the table.

With a contract until 2028, Hammarby are in a strong position to retain the Ivorian's services, yet it is claimed that a bid of £5m would be enough to tempt them into a sale.

Having only played 25 games of senior football, a scenario may arise where the teenager is signed and loaned out to another club to further his development.

Interest from the continent?

The report alleges that there are three teams from the Bundesliga who are also considering whether to move for the starlet.

Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg are all said to be monitoring the situation, potentially aware that Toure may jump at the chance of plausibly earning regular football in Germany's top flight.

A Hammarby official has previously told the media: "We need to plan for a future without him. Then if it happens this winter, next summer or even further than that – I don't think so, we'll see. But the longer we get to keep him the better."

Hammarby paid a relatively-low fee of £370,000 when signing Toure from ASEC Mimosas earlier this year.
