Arsenal are reportedly considering a £25m move for Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling.
The 30-year-old is currently on loan at Roma and has impressed for the Italian side during the 2019-20 campaign, making 28 appearances in all competitions.
The Serie A giants are keen to sign the defender on a permanent deal this summer, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport, they will struggle to secure Smalling's signature without Champions League football.
The same report claims that Arsenal are monitoring developments surrounding the Englishman and could be prepared to meet United's £25m valuation during this summer's transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Smalling, who joined the Red Devils from Fulham in the summer of 2010.
The centre-back's contract at Old Trafford will run until the end of the 2021-22 season.
