Atletico Madrid have reportedly moved into pole position in the race to sign Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
United manager David Moyes has started the Mexican just 11 times in all competitions during his first season in charge, leading Hernandez to reveal his frustration at his lack of playing time recently.
According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Atletico are eager to sign the 25-year-old, and could make an offer for his services before the start of the World Cup.
Atletico forward Diego Costa has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the club, meaning that Diego Simeone could have an increased transfer budget this summer.
Hernandez is under contract at Old Trafford until 2016.
