Atletico Madrid will reportedly target Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette if a move for Paris Saint-Germain man Edinson Cavani fails.
The Spanish club are said to be in pole position for the Uruguayan forward, with Arsenal and Manchester United also thought to hold an interest.
According to the Daily Mail, if Atletico's move for Cavani does collapse, Diego Simeone's side will move for Lacazette, who they nearly signed in 2017.
The report adds that PSG are keen to sell Cavani this month because his contract will expire in the summer, and that a move for Lacazette will only materialise if Atletico cannot land the former Napoli man.
Lacazette has scored 41 goals in 105 appearances for Arsenal since he joined in the summer of 2017 and has scored five goals in the Premier League so far this season.
Cavani on the other hand has fallen out of favour at PSG since the arrival of Mauro Icardi in the summer, making just 13 appearances this term.
