Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin has insisted that moving to Manchester United in the summer was never an option.
The future of the 26-year-old frontman was the subject of long debate during the transfer window, leading some reports to state that Louis van Gaal was considering making a £15m bid to acquire the player's services.
"No. That was never on the cards. Not from what I'm aware of," Austin told talkSPORT.
Austin has scored 39 goals in 71 appearances for the R's since joining from Burnley in 2013.
