Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale will reportedly wait until a new manager is appointed before making any decisions about his future at the club.
Bale revealed that he would be willing to leave Madrid in search of more regular first-team football shortly after a match-winning cameo in last month's Champions League final, having often been overlooked by then-manager Zinedine Zidane.
However, Zidane's surprise resignation just five days after leading the club to a third successive Champions League title is understood to have increased their chances of keeping Bale.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for the Welsh winger, but The Independent reports that he will now wait until Madrid appoint a new head coach before deciding whether or not to stay in the Spanish capital.
Bale is open to the idea of staying at the club should he be given reassurances over his role in the team, although his preference in now thought to be a move to Old Trafford.
