Spanish giants Barcelona are thought to be interested in signing highly-rated Chelsea youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Catalan club have reportedly watched the 16-year-old England youth international when he was playing for the schoolboys against Wales last year.

Loftus-Cheek scored in that game and has also starred for Chelsea's academy and Under-18 sides this season.

The teenager has yet to sign a professional deal with the Blues, which could open the way for Barca to make their move, according to The Mirror.

Both Manchester clubs are also thought to be interested in the promising midfielder.
