Manchester United will reportedly have to pay Ousmane Dembele's wages in full if they wish to secure a loan deal for the Barcelona winger.
With the Catalan giants having retained the services of Philippe Coutinho, they are now willing to allow Dembele to depart Camp Nou on a temporary basis.
That has led to interest from United, who are considering their options at a time when they have been left frustrated in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.
However, The Sun claims that a deal will only be completed for Dembele if United are willing to pay the France international's £215,000-per-week wages.
Although Barcelona would prefer to cash in on the 23-year-old, a loan agreement on these terms is regarded as the next best option.
Dembele has made one 20-minute substitute outing during Barcelona's opening two league matches of the season.
