Barcelona have reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen's Moussa Diaby and PSV Eindhoven's Cody Gakpo as possible attacking reinforcements in 2023.
Despite a busy summer transfer window, the Catalan outfit are believed to be preparing to spend in January, with a number of players being linked with moves to Camp Nou in recent weeks.
Central midfield is thought to be a priority position for Barcelona, but according to Fichajes, the Catalan outfit are also keen to bring in a new attacker as a replacement for Ferran Torres.
The report claims that the club are considering selling Torres in January, with the 22-year-old struggling to have a significant impact since arriving from Manchester City earlier this year.
The Spain international has made 15 appearances at club level this season, scoring three times and contributing one assist, but he has only started four times in La Liga, while all four of his appearances in the Champions League during the 2022-23 campaign have come off the bench.
Diaby's future was the subject of speculation over the summer, with Newcastle United believed to have made an attempt to sign the eight-time France international.
Barcelona are now said to be showing an interest, with the 23-year-old again proving to be a key player for Leverkusen this season, scoring four times and registering four assists in 18 appearances.
Diaby still has three years left to run on his contract, but Leverkusen are believed to be open to selling him in 2023 providing that their valuation is met.
The attacker has scored 39 goals and registered 41 assists in 142 appearances for his German club since making the move from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019.
Gakpo, meanwhile, could allegedly be available for as little as €30m (£25.7m) during the January transfer window due to PSV's financial issues.
The 23-year-old came close to joining Manchester United over the summer, and he is still believed to be a leading transfer target for the 20-time English champions.
Gakpo, also thought to be a target for Arsenal, has been in strong form for his Dutch club this term, scoring 13 goals and registering 14 assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.
The Netherlands international, who largely plays off the left side, still has another four years left to run on his contract in Eindhoven, but he is widely expected to leave next year.
Gakpo has scored 55 goals and registered 47 assists in 156 appearances for PSV since debuting in 2018.
