Manchester United's long-term pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has reportedly received a huge boost.
The Red Devils lodged two unsuccessful bids for Fabregas last summer, before finally admitting defeat when the former Arsenal captain said that he was "very happy at Barcelona".
However, Fabregas's situation appears to have changed and, according to The Metro, the Catalan club have told him that he can leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season if a suitable offer is made for his services.
United are said to value the 26-year-old, who has just over two years remaining on his contract at Barca, at around £25m.
Fabregas has scored 28 goals in 91 La Liga appearances.
