Bayern Munich are reportedly close to signing Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez.
The 23-year-old, who is currently with the Spain squad preparing for tonight's Euro 2012 clash with France, is also understood to have attracted interest from Manchester United and Manchester City.
Roberto Mancini's Citizens were believed to be leading the race for Martinez's signature, but the Bundesliga giants have now jumped to the front of the queue as they are willing to pay the £25m asking price, according to talkSPORT.
Martinez has been capped eight times at senior international level.
