Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani, who has also been linked with Manchester United.
Kolo Muani only joined the German club from Nantes last summer, but he has wasted little time in establishing himself in the Frankfurt side.
The Frenchman has scored eight goals and provided 11 assists across 23 competitive appearances, and his two strikes in the Champions League helped his side book their place in the knockout rounds.
The 24-year-old also made a significant impression at the 2022 World Cup, where he came off the bench to score in the semi-final win over Morocco and he won a penalty in the final against Argentina, which Kylian Mbappe subsequently dispatched.
A recent report claimed that he was being monitored by United, who are looking to sign a striker in the current transfer window following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure in November.
However, according to Telefoot, Bayern Munich are also interested in the Frankfurt forward, who is under contract until June 2027.
The Bavarians are still looking to sign a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, after the Poland international left the club last summer to join Barcelona.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has impressed since Lewandowksi's departure, scoring 11 goals in 16 appearances for the German champions this season, but Bayern are still keen to sign a forward that could potentially lead the line for a number of years.
While Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane has been linked, Bayern are now considering Kolo Muani as a possible option.
Due to his long-term deal with Frankfurt, there is a belief that it would take a fee in excess of €60m (£53m) for a sale to be considered.
Kolo Muani has also indicated that he wants to stay with Oliver Glasner's side until at least the end of the season due to the club's participation in the Champions League.
While United could face competition should they decide to move for Muani, they are currently being linked with a number of other forward options.
Wout Weghorst appears to be one of their main targets, and although discussions are ongoing between United and Burnley, the Dutchman is currently on loan at Besiktas, who have stated that talks of an imminent departure are "untrue".
Vincent Aboukakar and Memphis Depay have also been mentioned as potential options, while another target, Joao Felix, is on the verge of completing a loan move to Chelsea.
