Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has denied that Manchester United made contact with the Bundesliga giants over the summer to discuss Kingsley Coman.
The France international had reportedly been identified by United as a potential alternative to Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho during the recent transfer window.
However, according to Salihamidzic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team did not approach the German champions, who would not have considered any offers for the 24-year-old.
"There was nothing, and we wouldn't have looked into it either," the Bayern chief told Bild. "His goal in the Champions League final should explain enough why we are relying on him wholeheartedly."
Coman, who has a contract at the Allianz Arena until the summer of 2023, has featured twice for the treble winners at the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
United signed Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri on transfer deadline day, while Amad Diallo will arrive at Old Trafford from Atalanta BC in January.
