Athletic Bilbao are reportedly hoping to re-sign midfielder Ander Herrera from Manchester United.
The Spaniard is out of contract at Old Trafford next year, and his former employers are allegedly aiming to convince him to turn down an extension in favour of returning to Spain.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Bilbao are ready to make Herrera one of their top earners if he turns his back on the Red Devils.
Herrera spent three seasons with the La Liga outfit and made almost 100 appearances for them before joining United in a £28m deal.
The midfielder has fallen foul of United's rotation system on several occasions of late, but played a key role in their 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals last weekend.
