Brentford have remained keen on keeping Christian Eriksen at the club this summer despite the midfielder appearing on their released list on Saturday, according to a report.
The 30-year-old was a key performer under Thomas Frank during the 2021-22 Premier League campaign, following his move on a free transfer during the January transfer window.
Eriksen, who has recovered after suffering a cardiac arrest at last summer's European Championships with Denmark, went on to score one goal and register four assists in 11 league appearances, helping Brentford to a comfortable 13th-placed finish in their debut Premier League season.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Ajax midfielder sees his short-term contract expire on June 30 however, and no extension has yet been agreed with the West-London outfit.
As a result, Eriksen was included on the club's official published released list on Saturday, which is required by the Premier League ahead of the new season.
No mention was made of an offer being on the table, although BBC Sport are reporting that Frank wishes to keep his Danish compatriot at the club this summer.
Former club Spurs are said to be one of a number of clubs fighting for Eriksen's signature over the coming weeks, whilst Manchester United have also been linked with a potential move, but the report suggests that he is yet to make a decision on his future.
After moving to Spurs from Ajax in 2013, Eriksen has gone on to make 237 Premier League appearances during his career so far.
