Hull City manager Steve Bruce has admitted that his side are unlikely to sign Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley.
The Tigers are among the clubs, along with the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and Valencia, that have been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old.
However, Bruce has revealed that Hull are now almost certainly out of the running for Cleverley's signature.
"I don't think [we will be signing Cleverley]. I thought maybe a couple of days ago it might be close. It's difficult to talk about other people's players, but we do expect to be busy before the deadline," he told BBC Sport.
United are thought to want £8m for the England international.
