Burnley are reportedly giving consideration to the prospect of signing Michael Keane on a permanent basis in January.
The 21-year-old joined the Clarets on a four-month loan deal from Manchester United on transfer deadline day.
However, providing that his temporary stint is a positive one, the centre-back could tie himself to Turf Moor permanently come 2015, according to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
Keane has appeared in two matches for United this season.
